This publication discusses tobacco use in Nepal and evaluates the outcome of one fruitful health education program. The nationwide Health Education and Tobacco Intervention Program (HETIP) has been carried out in Nepal in 2001–2012. It has reached hundreds of public schools and hundreds of thousands of people around the country. This book presents an innovative way to implement and evaluate development projects. It provides information on the global tobacco industry, health issues and secondary education in Nepal, project work on health promotion and capacity building strategies.
