e-Business Research Forum (eBRF) was launched in 2001 as an annual post-hype conference by e-Business Research Center (eBRC) to encourage new, multidisciplinary, and border-crossing research on the e-business phenomenon. eBRF 2002 gathered 150 researchers, practitioners, and research financers from all over the world in Tampere. eBRF 2002 was centred around four perspectives on e-business: efficiency, engagement, entrepreneurship, and ethics. The conference proceedings of eBRF 2002, Frontiers of e-Business Research (FeBR) 2002, comprises altogether 36 papers originating from a wide range of research disiplines and backgrounds. In total, they provide a rich insight into the diversity of ongoing e-business research.
eBRC is a joint venture between the Tampere University of Techonology and the University of Tampere, and one of the six subprograms of eTampere, a local pilot of eEurope. eBRC serves researchers, businesses and research financers as a broker and matchmaker in e-business related research and development projects – in the business of turning ideas into knowledge.
