Ingredients: Who's Your Farmer?
Ingredients focuses on the relationship between farmer and chef. Organized by season and featuring seasonal specialties, the book includes a foreword by Alice Waters of Chez Panisse and recipes and commentary by Portland chefs Greg Higgins, Pascal Sauton, Cathy Whims, Cory Schreiber, and others both of the established and new generation in cooking and local farming. With Portland as the backdrop, the book explores the locovore movement gaining momentum nationwide. Color photographs accompany the recipes showing the source of the food and the beautiful, healthy finished meals. The book was created in conjunction with the documentary film of the same name produced by Brian Kimmell and directed by Robert Bates to be released on Oregon Public Broadcasting.
