This book is unique within the neuroradiological literature in that it employs a case-based approach to document the logical progression of diagnostic studies required to solve a variety of specific clinical problems. Introductory chapters address the clinically relevant basic anatomy and the physical principles underlying each imaging methodology. The appropriate choice and sequence of imaging modalities in different circumstances is then presented on the basis of illustrative clinical cases. The information sought at each level of the diagnostic algorithm is carefully explained, and issues of differential diagnosis are addressed. Care is taken to cover anatomical regions that are often relatively neglected in neuroradiology, such as ENT, the base of the skull, the orbits, and the pituitary. It is anticipated that this case-based book will be of great practical value not only to neuroradiologists but also to neurologists, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists, ENT residents, and students.
