This playwright does it again with humor to excoriate our leader's policies and their implications. To this end, Will Rogers is resurrected by using his delivery style to raise timely questions of the absurdities of new laws (and war) on American society. Will Rogers was more than a pundit; he was an entertainer with a political consciousness. In the 1920's and 30's, he was our common sense, and our conscience. In this one-act play, two unemployed men decide that American needs a new Will Rogers. These characters critique, with humor, present government policies and programs from Congress and the Presidency. They employ Rogers' milk of human kindness, aw-shucks demeanor, his affected naivete, and spurious illiteracy to say things that need said, but in a way that offends no one. As a result of a bar room skit practice they are deemed battlefield combatants, part of a terrorist cell. What will the two face as they go up against the very people they feel the need to critique?
