The lack of clavier and organ repertoire in the Baroque era formed the tradition of transcriptions. 16 concertos for solo clavier are transcriptions by J.S.Bach of instrumental works by Italian and German composers.
Basing on urtext, the Russian scientist, organist and teacher Leonid Isaakovich Roizman (1915-1989) added articulation and fingering to the score.
The edition is addressed to performers of various professional level, starting with the senior grades of the music school, as well as to a wide range of baroque music lovers.
