After 24 years at the top of the jazz-dance fusion scene, constantly creating new sounds and styles, singer Lilian Vieira, keyboardist Stefan Schmid and drummer Stefan Kruger have delivered their most mature and personal album to date. Telenova was produced during the pandemic and in many ways you can hear how the album came about. With health the main focus and a society going on hiatus, resetting the music seemed like the natural option. The trio used the lockdown to resample some of their best musical ideas, reworking melodies and rhythms to really bring out the funky elements. Stripping back arrangements gave the album a smaller, more intimate feel.
