Finite Mathematics with Applications
This one-semester text incorporates unique case studies and referenced applications to emphasize the relevance of mathematics in everyday life. The referenced applications include footnotes that reveal their source. In addition to the geometric method, an understandable detailed explanation of the simplex method to solve linear programming problems is given. Chapter-end "Programmable Calculator Experiments" (graphing calculator sections), an instructional appendix on using graphing calculators, and graphing calculator exercises throughout the text allow instructors to integrate technology in their course. "Cumulative Exercises" in every chapter, except the first, provide students with an opportunity for continuous review. Coverage of the binomial theorem and expeced value is now included.
