This work seeks to reflect the dynamic changes in wireless communications technology, exploring the developments in cellular standards, wireless ATM, and multiple access techniques. Topics include the seven statistical distributions derived and compared; the level crossing rate and average fade duration for each envelope distribution; access protocols for wireless multimedia applications; and radio coverage analysis related to statistical distributions, bit (word or frame) error rate, and traffic load.
