In this short treatise, the author presents a systematically arranged outline of, and thus an introduction to, the teachings of Buddhism. In order that these teachings may be comprehended, the use of Pali expressions has been avoided. Whenever possible, the words ascribed to the Buddha Himself have been quoted.
