Sabina survived the Nazi invasion of Poland as a twelve-year old, while the rest of her family were murdered. Eventually managing to emigrate to Australia with her second husband, Sabina turned her back on the past in order to survive the present. When she became friends with the daughter of a Nazi, she began a new way of thinking.
