Francis Witts began to keep a journal in 1795 when, at the age of 12, he accompanied his parents and brother on a tour of Scotland. He continued to write a diary for the rest of his life. This volume covers the years 1805-1825, including his curacy at Urchfont, his marriage, the birth of his son, and death of his parents.
