This is the
sequel to Fall from Grace, revisiting the troubled Hearn family in the
aftermath of the tragic loss of their son Gabriel. The Hearns’ lives have taken on a ‘new normal’ and
they strive to support each other, still living on the beautiful island of
Anglesey. There are secrets surrounding Gabriel's suicide, and the subsequent
deaths of both his godparents, that only Dan Hearn, his son Michael and brother
Jack know about. The three men have made a pact to ensure that Grace never
finds out the truth. Life continues undisturbed until magazine
proprietor Adam Foster, brother of deceased Nick Foster, the twins' godfather,
visits Anglesey to try to establish the truth. Dan Hearn becomes suspicious
about Adam's real motive for visiting Anglesey and informs Jack. With Jack
Hearn's involvement, Adam Foster is in more danger than he could possibly
imagine. Adam’s journalism takes him
to sacred ancient sites, extraordinary people, and more than one unexpected
visit from his own demons.
He attempts to alert Grace to the truth, but Jack conspires with Dan and Michael to prevent
the harmful and distasteful truth from emerging. Using his power and influence, Jack tries to revoke
Adam’s resolve and return him to a life he thought he’d left behind.
