The Pursuit of Fame - Surviving the Stage and the Spotlight
Kyley Winfield's obsession with fame began at a young age. Born biracial and raised by his mentally ill mother, he idolized Michael Jackson and was convinced that fame was the way out of a life of poverty and racial discrimination. Teaching himself to play multiple musical instruments, Kyley shot to stardom, but at the price of his mental health. Suffering from deepening depression and anxiety, Kyley did what he could to stay in the limelight, but even red carpet antics couldn't give him the attention he craved. After a failed stint in the prestigious Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts and briefly residing with a group of Christian zealots, PURSUIT OF FAME is Winfield's first-person account of how self-acceptance is the greatest love of all.
