This book deals with the problems of religious liberty - the complete separation of church and state, and the non-application of any form of religious test of citizenship or of fitness for public office - as it affects the United States. A large portion of the volume discusses the outbreak of religious strife in the 1928 presidential campaign. The author does not treat this subject in a theological, philosophical or historical manner.
