This book summarizes the scientific conclusions of the ABCC (Atomic Bomb Casuality Commission). Studies with a minimum of technical jargon it gives a personal account of the pertinent events and findings as they have unfolded over the forty-odd years that the study has been underway in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It forms the basis behind out standards of acceptability associated with risks from ionizing radiation.
