Language as the key - under this programmatic title fourteen individual studies are united, which, based on a precise philological analysis of the biblical texts, aim to lead to a deeper theological understanding of the Old Testament. The individual examinations cover the entire area of Old Testament exegesis, including the creation narratives of Genesis, the position of women in the Old Testament tradition on the biblical concept of sacrifice.
