A Guide To British Garden Wildlife
Recorded in a garden near Bristol, each programme explores a different garden habitat; log piles, ponds, hedgerows, trees and shrubs, and finally stones. The presenters describe the appearance, behaviour and sounds of some of the typical species you're likely to find, explain their contribution to the ecology of the garden, and offer advice on how to entice them into your own garden. A Guide to Garden Wildlife will help listeners to identify everything from woodlice to water boatmen and from frogs to froghoppers. It will appeal to both enthusiastic novices and more experienced naturalists who want to find and get to know the wildlife lurking in their gardens.
