When Mitch married Marnie, he promised her a spontaneous life of adventure and travel. Alone in the rented one-bedroom flat in Luton, Marnie wondered where she had gone wrong. Mitch, on the other hand, had hit the jackpot. Married to a placid wife who asked no questions, and plenty of time on his hands, gave Mitch the opportunity to perfect his career as a con artist.
As a master of disguise, he set up multiple profiles on dating websites with the sole aim of targeting single and divorced women. Using flattery and charm, and elaborate plots and ploys, he reeled in his unsuspecting female victims with the intention of defrauding them financially, and then disappearing.
Becoming increasingly confident, and flush with money from his recent successes, Mitch and Marnie move to a wealthy neighbourhood in the suburbs. Here, we see Mitch meticulously planning his most audacious scam to date - the conning of a group of people who are his neighbours, some of whom have their own secrets.
