Artists at the Fry describes the background to works in the Fry Art Gallery, Saffron Walden, Essex. The Gallery is based on the artists of Great Bardfeld, including Edward Bawden, Eric Ravilious, Michael Rothenstein, John Aldridge and Kenneth Rowntree who lived in the Essex village between 1930 and 1970, and other artists who lived and worked in the area, notably Keith Vaughan, Michael Ayrton, Robert Colquhoun, Robert MacBryde and, latterly, John Bellany.
