In the second part of the Trevu trilogy: Paul Trevarthen and Joey Bolitho find themselves having to contend with a common foe; a newly arrived Preventative Officer, the ruthless Gerald Hudson, who is determined to bring Bolitho and his smugglers to the scaffold. Trevarthen's unwitting involvement with the smuggling gang leads him into danger, whilst a misunderstanding drags him further into a personal hell. Conversely, for Bolitho; a discovery, a tragedy, and a meeting with his lost love appear to be leading him towards salvation.
