Wang Ji is known for his revival eremitic themes from the Wei-Jin period and for anticipating the rise of regulated verse forms in the ""golden era"" of Tang poetry. This work defines Wang Ji's literary method - to show a way of reading his poems to discover how their textual features convey meaning.
