This volume accompanies the largest
exhibition of contemporary art from Australia to be presented outside
the continent. It's characterised by a surprising richness and variety,
offering a combination of personal stories, languages, ethnic origins,
religions and traditions. The artists belong to many Aboriginal cultures
and First Nations and those that arrived from the Pacific, Europe,
Asian countries and America.
Curated by Eugenio Viola, this
project encompasses a broad constellation of cultural, political and
social practices and perspectives, and takes into consideration
different means of expression such as painting, performance,
installation, sculpture, video, drawings and photography.
