Tous Les Berliet Militaires, 1914-1940, Vol. 1
Marius Berliet, the most illustrious of pioneers of the French automotive industry committed his firm in 1906 in the nascent Army truck program. He developed the immortal CBA truck on the eve of the Great War, which became a major instrument in the French victory. After the Great War, the Lyon-based company remained one of the most important suppliers to the French army and, at the time of rearmament in the face of the new German threat, the Venissieux factory produced thousands of 3.5-ton and 5-ton trucks, as well as 7.5-ton special wide-body trucks and 15-tonne tank transporters. All these models, and many others, are reviewed in this volume.
