Coinciding with the Xth anniversary of its anauguration, we are happy to introduce this catalogue of the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum's Own Collection. It offers a complete perspetive of XXth Century art. At present, the Museum's own collection includes works by some of the most representative artists of the second half of the XXth Century, such a Eduardo Chillida, Yves Klein, Willem de Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Clyfford Still, Antoni Tapies and Andy Warhol amongst others. Each work is analysed by an internationally prestigious art historian, in a way that both the expert and the layman will find the meaning and universal reach of this art collection from the XXth an XXIst Centuries. Also included is a biography of each artist.
