Ernst Veen has travelled extensively to look at art in the course of his career. In far-flung sculpture gardens, he was drawn to monumental works which were created for natural surroundings, marvelling at the way the art resides in the landscape, and how it transforms the landscape. Along with Gijs van Tuijl (and photographer Paul Kramer) he has written an inspiring guide to these stunning works of art.
