This volume reviews the recent progresses that has been made in solar physics with emphasis on ground based high resolution observations covering topics like helioseismology which is providing fundamental information about the solar interior, evolution of the magnetic structure from the photosphere to the corona; space weather and their geospace consequences and finally multi-frequency observations of the Sun.
