The 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, is the spiritual head of the Karma Kagju school of Tibetan Buddhism. The Karmapas are Tibet's greatest wisdom teachers.

In 1999, the young Karmapa fled to Tibet to join the Dalai Lama in exile in India. There his masters have been passing on the ancient Kagyu lineage to reawaken his wisdom and transform him from disciple to teacher.
