The 54th International Meeting of Physical Chemistry took place in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, in June 1995. This conference dealt with fast elementary processes and experimental and theoretical aspects of reaction dynamics in simple chemical or biochemical systems. This volume includes contributions on primary chemical processes, relaxation in condensed phases, biological systems, electron and proton transfer, solvation dynamics, crystalline and midrodispersed media as well as isolated molecules and coherent processes. This work is aimed primarily at researchers and graduate students in physical chemistry and molecular biophysics.
