The book will begin with a rationale for including technology in the classroom, with a review of theory and research that supports the contention that technology plays a big part in the literacy of adolescents. Following chapters will guide teachers on how to build classroom projects that take advantage of adolescent literacy. Reading and writing performance of students is at the root of Extreme Reading in the Middle Grades. As a reading specialist, the author incorporated technology in her class specifically to address the reading and writing needs of her students.
