The author divides this work into four sections. Section 1 entitled Dogma Versus the God in Man includes discussion on H.P. Blavatsky, curse of dogma and conventional opinion, and how to work out your own salvation. Section 2, War Versus Patriotism, entails the author's first contact with war, her feelings on patriotism and peace, as well as a chapter on vivisection. In Section 3, For the Downtrodden and Outcast, Tingley speaks about William Quan, capital punishment, theosophy, causes of crime and her ideas on how crime begins. Section 4 discusses the philosophy of nature.
