The Workbook section of the SAM provides structured, written practice of the materials introduced in the corresponding chapters and additional reading comprehension based on cultural and journalistic topics. The Laboratory Manual section, designed for use with the audio program, contains pronunciation practice and a variety of listening comprehension tasks.
