1890. Illustrated. The author was a member of Elliott and Thomes, publishers of the American Union, a weekly magazine. For this publication he wrote The Gold Hunters' Adventures, a long tale of lurid adventure and its sequel, The Bushrangers. A Whaleman's Adventures offers a good first hand account of whalecraft and its use, as well as whaling life.
