In recent years readers have been inundated with books on psychical research, and survival after bodily death; but as the majority of these books have little, if any, evidential value, a fresh book on the subject is apt to be dismissed with scornful impatience. The present volume is of a very different character, and forms one of the most important contributions yet made toward an experimental solution of the problem of survival after our life on earth.
