The Church in Wales has now fully revised its initiation services. These are the rites by which babies, children and adults come to belong to the family of the Church. They are therefore essential to every local church and to every priest.

The new rites are included and numerous extras are included - baptism in the context of a eucharist, emergency baptism, the welcome in church of a child previously baptised, a service of welcome for parents and godparents, a service of commitment. Additional liturgical material includes a selection of suitable Bible readings and intercessions for candidates.
