The Entrepreneurs grew up in Thy, a rural region of Denmark, known for its creative environment and progressive youth culture, despite - or maybe because of - its remote location. As they grew older and craved new impressions, they moved across the country to Copenhagen. After touring extensively with their debut EP, the trio gained a reputation as one of the fiercest live bands in Denmark bringing their aesthetically rich and experimental take on some of rock's most significant subgenres like punk, grunge and post-rock to stages around Europe. Wrestler hasn't been plagued by Difficult Second Album Syndrome. On the contrary, the process has been characterised by a mature, carefree feeling with no thoughts about what others might think. Thematically, the album deals with the personal and the social. The stylistic references are broad, and the instrumentation varied, but the trio has tied everything together with stringent and off-kilter arrangements: the hierarchy of highs and lows shift throughout; bass rising to meet guitar; strings that take up the space left behind. The songs feel immediate and cohesive, but repeat listening reveals an inventive and raw attention to detail.
