This volume comprises some of the written lectures from the proceedings of the conference on hyperplane arrangements held at the Tokyo Metropolitan University as a Regional Workshop of the Mathematical Society of Japan. This workshop was in celebration of the sixtieth birthday of Peter Orlik.
