At the very beginning of the model, students are introduced to a reflection lens for learning. The lens will provide students with the necessary foundation needed to guide them through the model. As students continue to progress through the text, they are encouraged to keep it in mind during discussions, assignments, and presentations. Diversity of Perspectives also becomes common language used by students when connecting theory to practical application.
Students learn that the ability to communicate with others who have individual values, assumptions, beliefs, and expectations that may or may not be different from their own is crucial in the ever-growing global market.
