The dissertation proposes to present a textual research approach in the context of architectural research. Three mutually interacting threads could be singled out in this book. One aim is to argue that readings of Derrida have by no means been exhausted in the context of architectural research, and that his work remains pertinent for instance for working out the question of image in the context of architecture. Secondly, an architect works, above all, with and through images. He is an image-maker. Textual image shows that image presents a more complex field. Different elements influence the formations of an image, and different layers of images take part in this formation. The third thread introduces into the dissertation a complex large-scale urban project, Euralille.
