Emotions - Experiences in Existential Pyschotherapy and Life
An individual's emotion can become one of the most valuable tools in therapy by actively listening and absorbing. Rather than being another treatise on emotional theory, this book will deal with the experiences of individual clients as well as those of the author. The book illustrates, in separate chapters, anger, sadness, fear, anxiety, love, empathy, joy, altruism and shame. Each emotion is discussed in general terms and then in relation to the author's own experiences. This is followed by the connection of the same emotion with a client's case history. Finally, clients themselves narrate and comment, and provide a perspective on the differences between the clients' and the therapist's perception.
