Philosophy of Religion - A Universalist Perspective
This text seeks to clarify and evaluate the key concepts of religion as well as those which are uniquely characteristic of particular religious traditions. Sterling's introduction to the philosophy of religion is written from a universalist perspective. He considers the point of view of one who sees an underlying harmony between the different religions of the world and emphasises their points of agreement. Sterling outlines nine philosophical propositions about reality and the supersensible and discusses the individuality of perception as it figures into a religious discourse.
