This compact collection of prayers and spiritual exercises is an aid to Devotion of the Sacred Heart. When we pray to the Sacred Heart we are praying to the Person of the divine Word made flesh. We believe that the heart of Jesus is the heart of a divine Person, the Word incarnate. It represents for us the threefold love which he has embraced, and even now embraces each of us - his emotional love, the infused love which enriched his human will and the divine love he shares with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
