This textbook provides an authoritative overview of the key elements of ICM for students of coastal management and coastal professionals.  The book takes a structured approach to the development and delivery of coastal policies, focusing on key areas of ICM theory and policy. The book is divided into three distinct parts; Theory, Policy and Delivery. Each section includes a short introduction, placing the contents of that part in context with respect to the entire book.  Each chapter has an introduction that provides an overview, the scope of the chapter and its connections to what has gone before and future directions.  Each chapter also has a conclusion that synthesizes the key elements.
