As one of Sonic Youth's founder members Thurston Moore has been acknowledged as a crucial forefather of the alternative rock scene of the past 30 years. Moore has also created a substantial catalogue of additional music with over 130 recordings spanning three decades. Moore's works have been sorely neglected due to their sheer scale, depth and diversity. This is the first-ever survey of this work, compiled with the full cooperation of Moore himself. The oral history testimonies of his collaborators on each recording provides brand-new insight into this crucial artist's lifelong dedication to musical performance and exploration.
