Much of journalism education is framed by a western perspective. At a time when the world is shrinking into a global village - mainly but not exclusively due to the media - it is all the more important for students of journalism to be aware and study the different systems and practices of journalism across the globe. This book takes journalism students beyond familiar western perspectives by exploring and discussing journalism in several non-western contexts.
