The Publication Looking at DIVERSITY in different ways gives the reader a window to different practices and experiences in several different countries, such as Finland, Great Britain, Hungary, Japan, Kenya, and Portugal. Some of the articles on the work done with immigrant or minority groups; their education and language learning and teaching. The reader also gets information of how minorities are regarded in Hungarian society and in the Visegard countries. In one of the articles the writer gives a view to religious and spiritual identity and citizenship education in the UK. In another article the writer discusses how to promote intercultural competence and the role of internalization. To bring the world closer we need different media. One of the articles takes the reader to Kenya to see how the children there learn to use social media.

The editors, professor Marjaana Soininen and adjunct professor Tuula Merisuo-Storm have been teaching for many years the topic multicultural education for the degree students in the Master's programme in Learning, Learning Environment and Educational Systems, and for exchange students from different faculties of the University of Turku.
