Architecture has always served society. Recently it was considered to be one of the most important factors in building societies. This new title asks how this idea is still relevant today. Using the 2008 lectures series at the Faculty of Architecture at the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) in Zurich as a basis for discussion, this book explores the social obligations and creative potential that architecture holds within society.
