Madison Sabatini's fabulous life has taken a turn for the worse. She's stuck for the summer in a run-down beach town, sharing a dumpy hotel "suite" with her increasingly cranky parents. The only friends she's made are pink-haired Delilah, an artist who works at Psychic Photo, and a skater boy named Duncan who's "totally" not her type. Except, maybe he is . . .

Determined to make the best of the situation, Madison throws herself into her greatest passion--photography. But soon, strange figures start showing up in her pictures: people who weren't there when she snapped the shots, people who are later reported dead. When Madison recognizes an all-too-familiar face, she begins to question everything about who she is . . . and who she hopes to become.
