They had been travelling through the blackness now for thousands of miles when suddenly, every now and then, they heard a thud as something crashed against their spaceship. Flame turned on the X-ray lights and the crew of Black Hole One gasped in shock when they saw what it was: dead bodies bound in white silk. Then all the engines stopped working. They were now stranded in the black hole, stuck between one universe and another. All their communications devices had stopped functioning. They were adrift and alone in the black hole in space.
