This book presents the latest information on jute genomics, with a particular focus on the genome sequences of two important Corchorus olitorius (tossa jute) varieties; O-4 from Bangladesh and JRO-524 from India. It compares the approaches used for sequencing and data analysis and the level of information provided by each, as well as their implications for gene discovery and marker development for accelerated breeding of superior jute varieties.
